ATLANTA, (July 6, 2010) – Habitat for Humanity International and Empire Today®, LLC based in Northlake, Ill., announced today a gift-in-kind partnership providing carpet, flooring and window treatments in support of Habitat’s affordable-housing work in more than 35 major metropolitan markets across the United States.

“We are looking forward to providing our quality, name-brand products to assist Habitat for Humanity in its mission in revitalizing neighborhoods across the United States,” said Steve Silvers, chief executive officer for Empire Today. “This partnership further demonstrates Empire’s commitment to its customers and employees by giving back to the communities in which we service.”

“Gift-in-kind support is vital to Habitat’s effort to build simple, decent, affordable housing,” said Mark Crozet, senior vice president of Development for Habitat for Humanity International. “This commitment from Empire Today will help a number of Habitat affiliates in 21 states reduce the costs associated with house construction. We are grateful to Empire Today for its generosity in making this wide variety of products available to Habitat affiliates and partner homeowners.”
