Enter the New Year with an Energy Audit

I’m excited to introduce myself as the newest blogger for Empire Today.  Professionally, I’ve received several certifications on home topics such as Low Impact Living and Building Science as well as worked as a Sustainability Coordinator in the food & beverage industry.  Personally, I’m a green nut and thrilled to be able to pass along some home greening knowledge to you.  In coming blogs, I will delve into a wide array of topics for making your home green such as smart landscaping decisions for your environment and wallet, safe cleaning supplies to have around your family and ways to earn money back for making your home more efficient.  However, before we get into specifics, I thought we could start with a topic for the most “green” (and this time, by green I mean newbie) of readers.

What’s My House Worth Now?"

If I had a nickel for every time I was asked this question, well, I’d be retired by now. I’m asked this question all the time and many times it’s from people who have no intention of selling anytime soon. I’m usually asked this after they do some form of upgrade to their home.
