During manufacturing, Ceramic Tile Flooring may be imprinted with a variety of patterns or colors, including stone visuals and other looks. Multiple colors of glaze can be applied to Ceramic Tile to add greater color and depth. A lesser degree of variation produces a contemporary look. Conversely, greater variation creates a casual, rustic effect.
Tile coloration is measured on the following scale:
Monochromatic: Tiles are identical with one color throughout. (Empire® does not carry any monochromatic Ceramic Tile.)
Moderate: Some color shade and texture variations appear from Tile to Tile.
Extensive: Color, shade and texture variations appear from Tile to Tile. However, Tiles share a common hue.
Extreme: Dramatic variations exist between Tiles, which may appear to be different colors.
