Associate Demand Planner
Northlake, IL (Corporate Market Support)
The associate demand planner will be primarily responsible for the review and development of sales forecasts to support promotions, product lifecycles and supply chain replenishment strategies.
The position will drive forecast accuracy improvement by researching sales trends, root cause and reviewing upcoming demand.
This role is essential in supporting the company’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results to develop accurate forecasts.
- Collaborate with Category Managers on overall product trend performance and determine phase in and phase out strategies for new and discontinued product.
- Meets with material management team to discuss key in-stock and inventory issues
- Closely coordinate and communicate merchandising action plans and supply planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Knowledge of Optimiza, APO, D365 or other software related to demand planning.
- Critical thinking skills required to analyze data with ability to define root cause, ROI, and define corrective action
