Get to Know Empire’s Best

Adrianna Bennett, Assistant Sales Manager – Colorado Springs

As an assistant sales manager, Adrianna makes it her duty to assure Empire is satisfying customers’ needs. She took the lead in circling back to potential customers who stopped short at getting their new floors. This not only brought business to the company but gave those customers the chance to finally get the floors they wanted.

How long have you been working at Empire?

I’ve been working at the Denver market for a little over a year.  I started as a sales rep and moved up to the assistant sales manager position in July 2020. Before the Denver market, I worked in the Nashville market for roughly one year as a sales rep.

What made you want to work at Empire Today?

I wanted to work for a company that gave me independence and opportunity. When I moved to Denver, I was a new mom and trying to figure out a company that would let me be a working mom and wife. I couldn’t think of a better place than this company.

What is your favorite part about working at Empire?

My team, hands down. They are some of the best people I have ever worked with.

What is the one thing you are most excited about for the coming year?

What is your motto or personal mantra?

The one my team knows me for is to Love the one(s) you are with. In life, you can never get time back, don’t waste it looking behind you.

What three traits define you and how you work?

Uncompromising work ethic, customer-oriented value system, and a disease to please.

Zubair Farooq, Assistant Sales Manager – Philadelphia

Zubair has gone above and beyond to support the Empire team across different markets. When the Boston market was down a sales manager, he stepped up and assisted them in managing the sales representatives and day-to-day tasks. He faced these duties knowing that his hard work will help give customers beautiful new floors, no matter the challenge.

Here’s what drives him to be Empire’s Best.

How long have you been working at Empire?

I started working for Empire in July 2019. So, I’m almost at my two year anniversary.

What made you want to work at Empire Today?

I had a steady job working as an Area Manager at another company and was not looking for a change of scenery. Ultimately, starting in January, over the course of 6 months and multiple interviews, my Market Manager Ben convinced me to become part of the family based on the ethics, business practices and workplace environment. I have not looked back, and I don’t regret that decision. In retrospect, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

What is your favorite part about working at Empire?

The level of understanding I have with my sales manager, my market manager, and the rest of the Philly market is one that I was never able to achieve at another workplace. I want to emphasize that it is a 2-way street. The cohesion, problem solving, and adaptability of the team to always put the customers first amazes me every single day. Our daily conversations flow as if we’ve known each other our entire lives and everyone jumps for opportunities to help each other out.

What is the one thing you are most excited about for the coming year?

Being able to return to some sort of normalcy in our daily lives, especially regarding the pandemic. I do miss going to the office and interacting with the rest of my team in person. However, I understand and support being able to work from home.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

What do we need to do to get to where we need to go? Pros and Cons.

What three traits define you and how you work?

Passionate, Integrity and Accountability.

Cleber Maxwell Oliviera, Installer – Atlanta

Installation Coordinator – Atlanta

This installation team did everything they could to get a customer their dream floors on short notice. When another installer was faced with an emergency, Cleber Maxwell stepped up and had only one day to finish the installation. The support for his teammate and care for the customer drove him to work hard and complete the job in a timely manner.

Like Cleber, the installation coordinator had to work fast to help the customer. After receiving a call about needing different grout, they drove 1 ½ hours to deliver the color so that the customer can have the flooring they desired.

We had the joy of getting to know what makes Cleber Maxwell so dedicated to the Empire Way. Here’s what he had to say:

How long have you been working with Empire?

I started with Empire in March of 2019

What made you want to work with Empire Today?

Empire is a household name – I knew a company with an excellent, long-standing reputation was a great place to be.

What is your favorite part about working with Empire?

Professional enhancement. In this position, I get to know more about myself as an installer and grow my experience.

What is the one thing you are most excited about for the coming year?

I’m hoping for a return to a normal and safer world so my family and I can travel again!

What is your motto or personal mantra?

“Doing your best for someone else’s recognition might leave you disappointed but doing your best because it’s the best you can do will never leave you disappointed in yourself.”

What three traits define you and how you work?

Determined, Honest, and Eager (for more)
